About our Green Team
The YMCA at White Rock is excited to welcome the ExxonMobil Green Team to an 8 week journey with our campers, teens and Y staff. We are fortunate to have these 5 talented teens from the Dallas area to enrich our summer programs with environmental education and service learning projects.
How did the Y and the ExxonMobil Green Team come together? Many high school juniors and seniors from around the Dallas area applied to participate in the program and 50 were selected. The YMCA at White Rock submitted a proposal and applied to be a host organization for the Green Team. The Volunteer Center of North Texas paired the interns with each organization and the rest is history.
