Finally, I want to take this last opportunity to thank each and every one of you for taking time out of your busy schedules to read a mere teenager’s thoughts and ideas. It was my honor and privilege to have worked here at the Y while at the same time-sharing my experiences with all of you. This summer was the best summer I’ve ever had. I learned a lot of things about myself and I feel like I’m one step closer to becoming the person I want to be. I am sad that I have to leave however; I will cherish the experiences I had here at the Y and on the Green Team forever. Last but not least I want to give a very special shout out to a person who has impacted me in far more ways than one. This individual is an amazing person and I am grateful for all the hard work he’s put into this summer. This man is truly inspiring and I wish that he succeeds in everything he does. Mr. Christian you are my mentor and I hope that after all this is over, our paths will meet again. Thank you to everyone and instead of a joke I will leave you with an image.

Stressful Week
This is our last week working with YMCA White Rock
. Although it is our last day here, we have so much on our plate.(our plate is overflowing) We didn’t realize how much work we had missed out and now it was all poured down to us. At the beginning of the week, we were working on our posters for our community presentation. I guess I put too much time on it thinking that we had everything else finished. Now, today being our last day, you should see how long our list is, and it is all due today. (Our work is like a page long, well more like a page and a half to be sincere.) Now we are running back and forth trying to get everything finished on time. It’s like our BIG MAIN supervisor, Christian Yazdanpanah, says, “If you feel like you are running, now you know how we feel.” I definitely feel like if I’m running. I feel that I’m running three times faster than I have ever run in my life. Now I know that we shouldn’t procrastinate. We did and here are our consequences. Overall, my experiences here were great, and I enjoyed all of the staff here. Thank You for reading my blogs these past eight weeks. I am going to miss all of you that read what I had to say every week
.

Signing Out
This is it. After today all of our work here at the Whiterock YMCA will be done and over with. Through all the ups and downs of the job, I really enjoyed it. From working with Camp Uluwatu to playing horse during the lunch break (yours truly dominated), to watching Luis and Ben do Christian’s (Green Team’s boss) crazy dance (again during lunch) to Kid Cudy’s Revolution. Carol did a great job as our boss and she gave us all valuable experience working in real world conditions. I will miss the kids here and their wild imaginations. Like one of the kids who saw me wearing Lindsay’s name tag one day (I had found one of her old tags and put it on to see if anyone would notice) who was confused at first because he doesn’t know any guys named Lindsay, but after he figured it out he called me Lindsay every time he saw me. So if he called me I always knew who it was. This was a valuable experience for me and everyone else on the Green Team, and we will all miss the Y very much. Signing out for the last time, Tyler.

The last week
Thanks for tuning in to another great Thursday to come enjoy our Blogs! Well in case you don’t already know this week is our last week for working at the YMCA and it has been a great and sad week. I really am going to miss all the staff, and we have all made a great connection to each other a connection that will last when we are all older and have graduated from college. I know that we are not the only ones that are to going be missed I know for a fact that I am going to truly miss everyone. Now this week has been pretty hard on us. We have been busting ours brains getting ready for our fancy community presentation that we are in charge of handling this Thursday. I am confident that it is going to go well, and I really hope that it does. Wish us luck! Like I said this is my last blog, and I am sad that it had to be over so fast. I am truly going to miss this, and I want to end by saying thank you to all those who have been taking the time to read our Blogs and make this such a success. Thanks.

Week 7
Hello everyone we are in week 7 of our internship and I think this week was AWESOME. I really enjoyed myself the entire week and I think that I am not just speaking for myself on that. This week we worked with our little camp Uluwatu usually I wouldn’t be excited to work with them but this week was different. We enjoyed doing paper mache and making papier-mâché balloons and finger painting them. All the kids liked the finger painting part and I thought that it was just so nice to see them all smile and laugh rather than fuse and fight at each other. You know how little kids can get when they can get their way when a lot of other children are around. Something else that made the week even better was we went on a field trip to Lake Louisville to tell the truth I did not think that I was going to like it at all but I kind of loved it in a way(that’s weird). We planted plants so the birds so that they would have food and shelter when they visit Lake Louisville it was a great experience and I would love to do it again. And I am proud of myself I planted 10 whole plants on my own with no ones help GREAT JOB me!!! Thanks for tuning in and I hope that you enjoyed what you read and please return next Thursday to read our last blogs.

Hello everyone=) Welcome to my blog and thank you once again for your attention. I was just informed that our blogs can now receive votes and I trust that all of you will vote for my blog=) In any case, I wanted to let everyone know that the Green Team and I have set up multiple donation boxes at various locations and we would appreciate it if you could come down and donate a few items. The first location is at “New Flower Market” located on the intersection of Ross and Henderson in East Dallas. We are also working on setting one up in “The Whole Foods Store” on Gaston Ave. in East Dallas. There is also one here at the Y. We are working on providing more so be on the look out for that.
Okay so back to me =) just kidding I’m not that self centered. Okay so my stay here at the Y has been great as I have already mentioned. I have been working with the CIT’s and they are an awesome group of kids. We are also working on a powerpont that we will be presenting to the Y board members so wish me luck! =) until next time!
