Plantastic

Me and the team getting our feet wet

This is the second to last week here at the Y. It’s been great spending time with all the kids and teaching people about the environment, but all good things must end. We are trying to go out with a bang and so next week is our community presentation and this week we went to Lake Lewisville. Early in the week we were with the Uluwatu kids again and we had them make paper mache Earths. The kids had a great time and were very creative. At the end of the week we went to Lake Lewisville. While we were there we ripped out the prevailing plants so that we could plant different species to promote biodiversity and so that migratory birds (ducks) can eat and be healthy enough for the return North. The planting was a huge success and we all had a great time.
